So we decided to cut Cole's hair for the first time today. It was really sad for me when I saw that he looked more like a little boy than a baby. I have had my bottom lip sticking out ever since. Until we cut his hair, Cole for the most part still looked more on the baby side to me. I cut the lock to save and Chris cut the rest with his clippers. Cole did really well until it had gotten into his bedtime and he lost his patience with us.

The last picture is just a random picture of Cole making yet another attempt at friendship with Buddy.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the "Mama's!" For Mother's Day I was oh so pampered. Chris baked quiche for me this morning and then salmon, crablegs and salad with blue cheese and bacon crumbles for dinner (and cleaned up both times!). After breakfast Chris brought in one by one the gifts he bought for me. The first gift was a body pillow and cover and when I had opened that present, he brought in the next, which was a pair of tempurpedic pillows (aaaaaahh) and the last present he brought in after the pillows was a chair massager....uh huh!!!! Nice! We spent the day at beach for a while and when we headed home, we hung out around the pool. When we went inside, we watched a movie and spent some time with Cole before putting him to bed. What a great great day!

Dad must have gotten me ready for the beach cuz I think Im sportin' that cool mohawk he likes to do with the sunblock :D

Buddy's Back!

Chris' Mom and Dad (Cole's Meme and Pepe - pronounced meh-may and peh-pay respectively) came over on this Sunday and stayed the night. They brought Buddy back to us and it was sooooo great to see him again! Our dog was at their house for quite a while since we were supposedly going to Utah - and then never did. We all went out on the boat on Sunday afternoon for a bit. We are very grateful that they took time to come over to see us. It was great to see them.

Cole gets really relaxed on the boat and sometimes passes out. It was really cute that he passed out next to his Pepe this time.

New Shoes

We got Cole some shoes today. No he can not walk yet, but we were told by the experts that he should be spending a little time in shoes during the day. We were rather shocked to be told this as the internet makes it clear to wait for shoes until
they can walk and we believed it - because everything on the net is true! ;)(ok, so its also because we were being cheap about it, where, lets face it, shoes are optional where we live and who's to say our unusually fast growing child wont outgrow them in a week :))

He didnt even seem to notice the shoes.

I dont know if you can see this, but if you look at his gums by his bottom teeth, they are very swollen on either side - I think his molars are coming in...and today he was letting us know he wasn't comfortable (despite how happy he looks in these pictures).
