Happy Birthday, Tim!

Kim treated us to a wine dinner at Green Turtle last night for Tim's Birthday. It was SOOOO fun. Thanks, Kim!! You can tell from the pictures that we all had a blast, although Chris stayed up way past his bedtime and, well, see for yourself how it worked out for him the next day.

Doting Dad

Need I say more...

"It's not a doll! It's a GLOW WORM!"

After brunch, we went to Walmart for some shopping. Chris decided he wanted to buy a glow worm for Cole because he had one as a kid. Well, he found one, albeit a much better version of the older model featuring, you guessed it, a button that is pushed to hear versions of this nursery rhyme and that. The older model gave a nice glow while offering nothing else. When I mentioned that Cole seemed to like his new doll, Chris swiftly retorted, "It's not a doll! It's a GLOW WORM!" With that, I decided I should probably just take pictures and let them play together with the glow worm :)

The Jungle

Today we went to brunch at one of my favorite eateries called the "The Jungle." It was Cole's first time going and was very content with 3 people adding "he's such a good baby." So here's a couple of pictures of Chris and Cole viewing the menu together...

More Activities, Please

Lately we've noticed that our little genius has been getting bored with the same old things we have him do. Cole's babysitter found this nifty jumparoo on line and we bought one for him. Today was his first day with it. His feet don't touch the ground yet, but he still gives it a nice bounce that makes all the music and lights turn on....which he loves. Oh yeah, he also enjoyed the tasty attachments:)

This is great, thanks Mom and Dad!!

I simply must figure out the mechanics of this thing. . .

I know, maybe if I taste it, it's secrets will be revealed. . .

Uh oh, caught sampling the goods. . . .

Attack!

On the weekends, Chris enjoys being able to spend more time with Cole. Chris loves to play games with Cole and Cole is a little more responsive these days which makes it even more fun for them. One of their favorite games is "attack."

New Favorite Toy

Jerry and Julie gave Cole this gift last night while out at dinner. It is quite nifty and apparently has a good flavor....thanks Jerry and Julie!

Big Night Out

Last night we went out with friends to the Chart House. Cole got to meet Isaac and Bebe, his new gerrrrl friend :) Since pregnancy and mommy hood have eaten away all of my brains, I forgot my camera and cell phone and could not take any pictures at the event. So, here are a couple of aftermath pics. Our little boy was plum tuckered out!

Independence Day

Lately Cole has been trying to hold his bottle when we feed him. In fact, we have to wrestle his busy little hands away from the bottle because he pulls it out of his mouth and it takes forever to feed him. He holds the bottle up for a second, then has one of those baby spasms which jerks the bottle out. It seemed as though he would be a lot more successful if he had something smaller to hold onto. So today Chris approached him at eating time with this transition bottle (transition from bottle to sippy cup) to see if he would in fact be able to feed himself. Luckily, Cole has never had a "preference" issue so long as at the other end of the thing, there is milk. But, Chris noticed that the Born Free product parts are interchangeable, so he eventually put a nipple on this yellow bottle and Cole was able to drink much easier from that. He was pretty successful although he couldn't escape the baby spasms and needed some help tipping it up (notice the teddy bear prop :)). He actually managed to get about half of the bottle down then I picked him up and fed him the rest.

We Love Buddy

Since we had our baby, Buddy, our loyal and trusted companion, has received little attention. He has been patiently waiting for us to get our act together. However, he has been enjoying much more attention and activity lately. I take him and Cole for a daily walk in the park during the week and he enjoys games in the pool on the weekends.

Cole has been noticing him for quite some time now although unable to reach out and touch him . . .until now. . .poor Buddy. . .he's in for it now I think!
