Before Noon
Got a couple of good shots of our activites today (Sunday) that I thought you might like, too.
So here's a rundown of this mornings activities:
Today after the baby went for his first nap at 8:30 Chris, Buddy and I got in the hot tub and pool. Chris accidentally killed a lizard and attempted for a decent burial which included flinging it into the foliage. Im not trying to exploit the poor lizard or anything and I DO think it should be dealth with with dignity, but the fact that it landed belly up on a nearby palm justified a one time photo:) Anyway, since Buddy has been diagnosed with hip displagia (sp?), we have been ordered to get him exercising more often and swimming is considered the best exercise for the disease. Also, applying heat was recommended for his comfort. Having a pool and hot tub makes it nice for him. When the baby woke up around 9:30 we brought him out with us and he seemed very entertained by Buddy shaking water on him and watching Mom and Dad play polar bear (the pool was FREEZING). Then, I gave Buddy a bath and Chris came in to feed the baby. We gave him some mashed up papaya from one of the 3 trees we planted a few years back. It was delicious and now there are so many papayas we can't possibly eat that much fruit, so if anyone is interested, they will just go to waste if someone doesn't eat them. Then, Chris made us breakfast. After that, Cole and I decorated the Christmas tree while Buddy and Chris took a nap. When it was Cole's naptime again, I took him in with Chris and they had a nice long snooze together...how cute:) Oh yeah, and all of this and then some took place before noon on Sunday...my how life has changed:)

Santa's Helpers
The last couple of days we have been trying to get our Christmas lights up and the rest of our decorations for that matter. But, in order to put up the lights, we had to trim back our entire yard. Im talking it was just short of a jungle here people....WAY over grown. Anyway, Cole and Buddy enjoyed hanging outside for a couple of days...the weather was PERFECT for it. Cole and Buddy helped by keeping us entertained!

"Beeting" the Baby ;o
Although it does look like he was given a Mike Tyson style beating, the real story is Cole and I decided to have some fun with the beets I made him today. These are pureed beets and he loved how they squished in his hands and how the made pretty pictures on his tray...naturally, this event was followed by an even more fun bath time;)

Punk Rock Christmas 2007
We went to the Christmas Shoppe in downtown Melbourne today and got some pictures of Cole with Santa. Cole seemed very comfy...
You can't really tell in these pictures, but we styled his hair in a mohawk. We try to smooth it down or comb it to the side, but it always pops back up because he just has a naturally existing mohawk. So, we decided to go with it since we think he looks cute in a mohawk anyway.
One last tidbit: although his hair is a very dark shade of red right now - almost an auburn color - it looks really really red in these pics because of the lighting and camera, probably (along with all the other red in the room ;) ).

I'm gonna look cute then yank your beard really hard when you least expect it...ask my Dad, it's my favorite thing to do ;)

Move Over Green Eggs and Ham...
Thanksgiving 2007
Just a few pictures of our Thanksgiving trip to Sarasota. Thankfully, Cole's Memaw(the deep south - or old Georgia - version of "grandma") was able to come down and visit for the week. It was all great fun.
